Hey guys! Welcome back to week 4 of The Fact Is!

So this week we learnt about using the Assure Model in lesson planning. ASSURE is actually an acronym. The letters depict the different sections of the lesson plan.

It's great because it is a very detailed way to plan your lessons.

This model analyses your learners. It takes into consideration the different learning styles of the learners.

The objectives should be: Specific, Instructional and Behavioral.

Here is an unprocessed word copy of My Lesson Plan

When writing objectives aim for three categories: Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes.

Every course should have a variety of objectives from each domain.
Before you can understand a concept, you must remember it, then apply the concept.

How to write a Learning Objective:
   1. Start with a stem sentence eg. students will be able to….
   2. Determine the learning outcome
   3. Consult the Bloom’s Wheel to select the appropriate level and verb
   4. Write the verb and learning outcome into a statement that when combined with the stem, forms a complete sentence.

Example: Students will be able to construct a KWL chart in word

document using the insert table from the toolbar

NB: Learning Objectives are measurable, observable statements of

what students will be able to do at the end of learning. Do not use

words/ terms such as: understand, know appreciate become

familiar, learn or be aware of.

So after reading this week's reflection I dare you, challenge yourself!! Write YOUR OWN OBJECTIVE!!
